12 Days of Christmas
The Housing e-Academy's
12 Days of Christmas!
13th – 24th December 2011
Please come back during this time to receive our special offers and 'Top Ten Tips' for e-learners.
13th December
Tip 1: Be an active learner. To attain e-learning success you must take an active role in your own learning. It just takes concentration and organisation!
14th December
Tip 2: Set aside time. Using e-learning is definitely a timesaver when it comes to training, however, you do have to invest quality time into it to see the best results – so switch off your phone and get stuck in!
15th December
Tip 3: Take control of your environment. Make sure the lighting and temperature in the room are adequate and that there isn't too much noise or distraction. Headphones are a great way to help you concentrate.
16th December
Tip 4: Meet the system requirements. Make sure your computer meets all system requirements (e.g. installed and updated Flash player) for your course before you set aside time to complete your e-learning.
17th December
Tip 5: List three things you must learn. Make a note of what you want to get out of the course before you begin. This will help you focus your time.
18th December
Offer: 15% off The Bribery Act 2010! Click here to purchase and simply enter the discount code BACT1 at the online checkout.
19th December
Tip 6: Retain what you learn. Make sure you immediately reinforce learning through practice quizzes and activities which will help you retain your new found knowledge.
20th December
Tip 7: Ask questions. There will usually be an email address or phone number you can use to answer any questions. Make sure you ask when you are unsure.
21st December
Tip 8: Utilise the extras. Additional resources, such as website links or downloadable content, are often available at the end of the e-learning course. You may want to create a 'training folder' on your computer to store them in.
22nd December
Tip 9: Do the pre-work. You may be asked to complete a pre-course task e.g. background reading or a questionnaire. If you complete these the learning process will be much more successful.
23rd December
Offer: Free Asbestos Awareness training! Click here to register and receive your free course.
24th December
Tip 10: Evaluate the course. It is important for your own future benefit to fill in the e-learning evaluation. That way any technical glitches can be fixed rapidly and any content concerns can be looked at.
