Berneslai Homes has recently assessed the applications for the Young Persons Funding Pot and have notified the groups if they have been successful or not. In total 60 applications were received from a variety of youth orientated clubs, groups, individuals and teams. The Young Persons Funding Pot is an initiative developed from private donations given to Berneslai Homes, which were matched by one of the organisations partners Inspace. The pot was set up so that young people involved in community groups across the borough had an opportunity to apply for grants up to £500. The grants could be spent on anything such as trips, equipment, activities or community projects. A panel of young people from across the borough were selected to assess the applications and award the grants.
