The word seems to be spreading.

This year has seen two of the three Leeds ALMOs join the Housing e-Academy. East North East Homes Leeds is the latest Housing e-Academy member to recognise the potential of e-learning, with a whole organisational launch planned for the 18th August 2008. Fifteen of its staff have already signed up for the CIH Level 2 Course. A second group are due to start in September. East North East Homes' Head of Performance and Improvement Susan Warren explains, e-learning is "cost-effective, and provides a vital tool for monitoring staff training, with regards to both Investors in People and CPD.” They join, among others, fellow Leeds ALMO Aire Valley Homes, whose Chief Executive Merran McRae is keen that people know what the Housing e-Academy is all about: "We have invested in the training package because it offers an excellent way for employees and tenants to gain new skills, and brush up on old ones. In today's fast-moving world, ongoing access to certified training has never been more important.” Merran adds, "The Housing e-Academy is accessible and easy-to-use. You don't have be a computer whizz to make the most of it. Happy e-learning - go give it a try."
