The Housing e-Academy is an innovative solution created in joint partnership between Virtual College and Dutton Dodd Consultants. The Housing e-Academy is specifically structured to enhance the learning process for individuals and organisations that work within, or that provide support for, the social housing sector.
There is a significant education and training requirement for those who operate within a housing environment. The e-Academy provides an alternative route to the traditional face-to-face delivery methods by providing access to an excellent range of e-learning resources. Through the use of the Internet to provide access to online resources the e-Academy removes all geographical restrictions. The e-Academy utilises a virtual learning environment, e-learning modules and online assessment to create a blended learning solution with flexiblility, quality and consistent provision of training in a manner that engages learners.
A key part of the e-Academy model is that it brings together organisations that share similar issues within the field of social housing, and by doing so, creates a powerful, focused team which can quickly develop effective learning solutions.
In addition, the e-Academy plays an important role in helping to facilitate the adoption of e-learning within member organisations, and facilitates benchmarking and sharing of best practice across the sector.

The e-Academy is steadily growing in size, and now boasts of a number of RSLs and ALMOs across England and Wales as members.
We do hope that you will also want to get involved in the Housing e-Academy, and we look forward to working with you to help make a real change in education and training within the housing sector.
